The wisest people

A village gathered together its wisest people one day, and decided to test them. It asked them each the same question in turn. How they saw the world, and what would they do if it was proven wrong. A theologian answered that the world is black and white, and he would never admit he was wrong. A physicist answered that he saw the world as many reflected light particles, and he'd update his theories based on the information. A doctor answered that that he saw the world by the cones and rods in his eyes, and that he'd prepare his lawyer. A politician answered that he saw he was right, and that wrong was the new right. The philosopher didn't answer for a long time, then replied that he saw that mankind didn't truly know anything, but if he was proven wrong, then he must have been right all along.
