A Few Miles Apart

Some people ask how do I keep going,
Not seeing the one I love that much
I said It’s because I love her,
Even though I long for her touch,

Just because we live a couple miles apart,
Doesn’t mean we can’t love each other,
That’s not what loves about,
It’s about one another,

I would give the world,
Just to be with her for one more day,
And when my time comes,
I know what I would say,

I would say thank you,
For all the times we had,
Now it’s time for me to go,
Please don’t be sad,

I would start crying,
And put my head on her shoulder,
I would tell her goodbye,
Then tell her I love her,

But until that day comes,
When we have to say goodbye,
I will live another day with her love,
And live a happy life…..
